About the CEO
Alberto J. DeJesus is the Chairman of DeJesus Corporation, a Delaware parent corporation, and the CEO of its flagship operating company DeJesus Industries, which operates out of Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New York City, Pennsylvania, and South Florida.
He founded DeJesus Industries in 2008 and turned it into a construction company in 2017 with a clear objective: to create a firm defined by precision, trust, and uncompromising execution primarily in the high end spaces of residential and commercial real estate. What began as a part-time venture during his undergraduate years at Boston University has grown into a full-scale operation with a dedicated team, an established subcontractor network, and active project pipelines across multiple states.
DeJesus Industries LLC is an MBE, EPA, HUD, and OSHA certified construction company specializing in historic restorations, landmark mansions, light commercial buildouts. Although these are the firms specialties, we offer and work in interior renovation services and modern new construction builds and development projects. We are privately held, non-union, and are a self-performing contractors.
Alberto’s leadership is grounded in both operational execution and long-term strategic vision. He oversees business strategy, project acquisition, risk management, and field operations, while managing administrative teams across multiple offices and coordinating with an extensive network of subcontractors and trade partners. His responsibilities include negotiating insurance and bonding programs, maintaining rigorous safety and compliance standards (including OSHA, EPA/HUD LRRP, and EDL certifications), securing multi-state contractor registrations, and advancing the firm’s readiness for public-sector contracting through SBA, bonding, and DCAMM pathways. He has also led the development of the company’s brand architecture through multiple federal trademark filings.
His project experience spans historic mansion restorations, complex pre-construction logistics, and collaborations with internationally recognized architects. Representative work includes historically sensitive residential projects in Brookline and the adaptive reuse of a landmark commercial property in Fall River into a 10,000-square-foot health services facility, delivered as prime general contractor through to Certificate of Occupancy.
From an early age, Alberto has demonstrated a consistent pattern of leadership, initiative, and the ability to operate at the center of complex environments. That trajectory continued through his academic focus in Political Science and Government, where he actively engaged in high-level conversations spanning business, media, and public policy. These experiences shaped a leadership style defined by confidence, adaptability, and a willingness to pursue ambitious opportunities and operate beyond conventional boundaries.
Continuing education remains central to his leadership. He completed executive education in real estate at Harvard University under Professor David A. Smith, with a focus on development, finance, and housing. He is also an alumnus of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program in New York, where he completed intensive training in financial management, growth strategy, and capital readiness. As part of its Voices advocacy cohort, he traveled to Washington, D.C. to engage with congressional offices on issues including healthcare, affordable housing, small-business lending, and permitting reform.
Today, Alberto leads with a long-term vision: to scale DeJesus into a vertically integrated platform spanning construction, development, and media, while expanding its presence in both private and public markets. His approach is defined by discipline, clarity, and a commitment to building not only high-quality projects, but enduring companies and relationships.
His work reflects a broader ambition, to operate at the intersection of business, real estate, and culture, building structures on the ground while shaping opportunities and influence at scale.
Biography
Alberto’s ambitions were shaped by his family and the environments he was exposed to from an early age. With family roots in Riverdale, New York, he grew up with a strong connection to New York City and to relatives whose careers and entrepreneurial pursuits introduced him to business from different perspectives. His aunt, who played a particularly influential role in his development, built her career working for major hedge funds before later joining JPMorgan. Through her career, lifestyle, and experiences in finance, she gave Alberto an early window into the professional world of New York—its financial institutions, business culture, ambition, and pace. That exposure helped cultivate his interest in finance and New York and would eventually influence the direction of his own interests toward real estate, development, and construction.
Entrepreneurship was equally present within his family. Alberto’s grandfather was an entrepreneur who owned and operated businesses ranging from donut shops to limousine companies in the Bronx. His example gave Alberto an early understanding of business ownership, independence, and the opportunities that can come from building something of one’s own. Alberto’s mother, meanwhile, provided the foundation that allowed those interests to develop. She gave him the freedom to explore his curiosity while fostering an environment in which academics, education, and intellectual development were consistently valued. Together, these family influences created an early intersection of education, entrepreneurship, finance, and ambition that would later become central themes in Alberto’s professional life.
This pursuit of leadership and intellectual curiosity carried into his time at Boston University, where he studied Political Science and Government in the College of Arts and Sciences. While on campus, Alberto actively engaged with prominent figures and debates shaping the cultural and political climate. He caught the attention of U.S. Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, debated Bill Prady, executive producer and co-creator of CBS’s hit television series The Big Bang Theory, and attended high-profile events including Ben Shapiro’s appearance at Boston University, where Alberto sat in the front row alongside members of the university administration.
Alberto’s desire to engage with the worlds of business and finance was already evident during his undergraduate years. While still a student, he pitched an idea directly to billionaire investor Stephen Schwarzman and subsequently received a rejection response from Schwarzman’s office. Rather than viewing experiences such as these solely through their outcomes, Alberto regarded them as opportunities to engage with people and institutions operating at the highest levels of business. These formative experiences helped establish a career characterized by bold ambition, intellectual curiosity, and an ability to navigate among business, real estate, politics, media, and culture.
Beginning his entrepreneurial career while still in high school, he went on to generate millions of dollars in business through his flagship operating company and, following college, developed DeJesus Industries into a multimillion-dollar construction enterprise. Under his leadership, the company has attracted both domestic and international investors and established a specialty in the construction, redevelopment, and execution of ultra-high-end residential estates and luxury properties across Massachusetts, New York, Rhode Island, Pennsylvania, and Florida.
His work increasingly extends beyond conventional construction. Through his companies and real estate activities, Alberto operates at the intersection of construction, development, capital, and investment, working with property owners, investors, professionals, and other stakeholders to bring complex projects from concept through execution. His ability to cultivate relationships with both foreign and domestic capital has further expanded the reach of his business interests and positioned real estate development and investment as an increasingly significant part of his broader entrepreneurial career.
Alberto has also cultivated relationships and crossed paths with prominent American executives, global entrepreneurs, investors, artists, cultural figures, and policymakers. His access has extended into some of the country’s most influential political and business circles. On multiple occasions, Alberto has been invited to the sitting President of the United States’ primary residence in South Florida and has had the opportunity to dine and engage with top presidential advisors, business leaders, and members of the Mar-a-Lago Club.
These experiences reflect a broader characteristic of Alberto’s career: a willingness and ability to move between industries, institutions, and communities that are often treated as separate worlds. From construction sites and real estate negotiations to financial, political, and cultural settings, his professional interests span business, finance, politics, real estate, construction, development, investment, and media.
The influences that shaped Alberto early in life remain visible in the work he pursues today. The entrepreneurial example of his grandfather, his aunt’s career in New York finance, his mother’s emphasis on education and intellectual independence, and his own early experiences in leadership collectively helped form a worldview centered on ownership, achievement, education, enterprise, and the importance of building meaningful relationships across industries and institutions.
Looking ahead, Alberto continues to build not only companies and real estate projects, but also relationships, institutions, and platforms intended to extend beyond traditional boundaries. His story remains one in progress—a story shaped by family, education, entrepreneurship, leadership, and an enduring instinct to build, connect, and create opportunities both on the ground and on a larger stage.
