A Bit About Me
I founded DeJesus Industries in 2017 with a simple goal: to build a construction and development firm defined by precision, trust, and uncompromising execution. What began as a part-time venture during my undergraduate years grew into a multi-state, minority-owned design-build and general contracting company serving residential, commercial, and municipal clients. By the time I graduated from Boston University, the firm had already generated more than two million dollars in gross revenue from part-time operations, and today operates with a full-time team, a multi-state contractor footprint, and active project pipelines across Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New York City, and Pennsylvania.
My work spans business strategy, project acquisition, risk management, and day-to-day field operations. I oversee an administrative teams in the Boston and New York offices, about 100 subcontractors and trade partners in a given year, negotiate insurance and bonding programs, and maintain safety and compliance programs including EPA/HUD LRRP, OSHA-30, and EDL certifications. I have secured contractor registrations in multiple states and advanced the company’s readiness for government contracting through SBA, bonding, and DCAMM preparation. I also filed five federal trademark applications with the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office to solidify the company’s brand architecture and service lines.
My project experience includes historic mansion restorations, complex pre-construction logistics, and collaborations with international architects. Representative work includes coordinating permitting and design integration for historically protected residences on Abbotsford Road and Clyde Street in Brookline, as well as overseeing the renovation of a landmark building in Fall River—transforming the former Liberty Utilities headquarters into a 10,000 square foot health services facility and securing a Certificate of Occupancy as the prime general contractor.
Continuing education is central to how I lead the company. I completed three executive-education courses in Real Estate at Harvard University with Professor David A. Smith, focusing on affordable housing, development fundamentals, and real estate finance. I also completed Goldman Sachs’ 10,000 Small Businesses program in New York, where I engaged in intensive coursework in financial management, growth strategy, and capital readiness. As part of the program’s Voices advocacy cohort, I traveled to Washington, D.C. during a federal shutdown to meet with congressional offices and advocate on issues including healthcare, affordable housing, small-business lending, and permitting reform. I remain an active participant in The Goldman Sachs Foundations 10KSB Cohort 43 as well as the Goldman Sachs 10KSB Voices program.
Today, my work remains focused on expanding DeJesus Industries’ operational capacity, strengthening its development capabilities, and positioning the firm for long-term growth in both private-sector and government-sector markets. I approach every project with a commitment to clarity, discipline, and the belief that well-built structures—and well-run companies—are measured by their integrity and their impact over time.
